“I heard great things and finally got the courage to try Indian food. My only critique is that the place is pretty cramped and for such high quality food I’d expect a little more privacy in my dinning experience. The servers are friendly and actually remember return customers, which is a welcome change from the Cambridge places I used to frequent. I almost cried the first time I ordered the Shahi Paneer Korma *HOT* and it actually came *HOT*. The food is just so fresh and perfectly spiced to order. My girlfriend and I visit the restaurant no less than 2 days a week these days and it never gets old. Now I no longer have to trek to Boston or Providence for good local Indian food I can enjoy it right in the town we live in.” The food was excellent and the prices are very good. The owner was also very friendly, and talks with his customers, which shows that he cares about your dining experience. The wait staff was attentive and remembered us from previous visits. “I’ve been a huge fan of Indian food for years, and this has to be one of the best restaurants that I’ve ever eaten at. The personal attention that the owner gives his diners makes it particularly enjoyable.” I’ve been to many Indian restaurants up and down the East Coast, and this is close to the best I’ve ever found. “I lived in India for three years as a kid and have loved the cuisine ever since then. “This place is amazing! My fiance’ and I first ate here last Valentine’s Day and came back to Salem this year for the Ice carvings and of course to eat here! Their coconut soup is the one I judge all others by and the others never come close!!! The food is wonderful, service is amazing and personal, and you feel like royalty! Heck, we drive from PA to eat here!” But the wait is well worth it. It is a bit over priced but then again it’s well worth it!” It is a very cozy and quaint place and there could be a significant wait. I have never had a bad experience in all the years I have been there. “I love it there…we know the bartender from England who is very nice and greets us always. They do have sodas to got with that…and they will have adult milk shakes and beer as well (as soon as the license arrives in the mail)…but mostly you will want to go here for the burgers and fries…and once you try it…you will probably want to go often.” If you have had a hard day at work or on the road or at the beach…this is a great place, relatively inexpensive and cheery place to pop in with your spouse and your kids…or your mom and dad if they are in town…for a kicked back old fashioned burger and fries dinner.
“If you work in or near downtown Salem, whether in an office or in construction…and you are looking for a place to get away from the job for a few minutes during the day…take the short walk down to A&B Burger. This was one of my first captures and ended up being my favorite with great clouds above, nice light on the houses along the Neck and a really nice first rainbow of the season.“This city-style restaurant is a true gem on Salem’s waterfront! I jumped out and threw on a circular polarizer which can really help pull the colors out of the rainbow and make them pop. I had lucked out with the rainbow appearing near the end of the causeway where it met the Neck. I decided to turn down Commercial Street to the float near Hammond Park and only when I crested the small hill did I spot the brilliant light. As I headed down Humphrey then Smith and onto Atlantic, I kept looking every which way but couldn’t spot any rainbows. I quickly grabbed my gear, hopped in the car and drove. It took me a few seconds to realize the sound was coming from outside rather than the show and, as soon as my brain made that connection, little alarms went off in my head.Īnytime I spot a shower within an hour of sunset, I know my chances for spotting a rainbow are really good.

So I was laying on the couch after a nice meal from Howling Wolf and watching TV when I hear what sounded like rain. I had already gone out once today but had come back without any photos to show for the quick drive. There’s nothing quite like catching that first rainbow of the season -)
